Dr george

George Skarpathiotis, MD

Dr. George was born in Istanbul, Turkey and raised in Athens, Greece. He attended medical school at the University of Athens in Greece. Dr. George then came to the States and completed his residency in Illinois at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke’s Medical Center (now, Rush University Medical Center). In 2012, Dr. George received the award Top Doctor from Advocate Christ Medical Center and Advocate Children’s Hospital as well as from New York Times. In 2014 he received the Physician Excellence Award in primary care from Advocate Children’s Hospital. In 2015 he received the Patient’s Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition. His interests in pediatrics is Attention Deficit Disorder. When Dr. George is not busy treating patients he enjoys traveling and enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Dr zoe

Zoe Alikakos, MD

Dr. Zoe was born in Chicago, raised in Greece, and returned to Chicago in 1987. Dr. Zoe attended medical school at the University of Illinois at Chicago and then completed her residency at Advocate Children’s Hospital- Park Ridge (formerly Lutheran General Hospital). During her residency she received awards such as outstanding senior resident, and served as chief resident for the program. Her special areas of interest within pediatrics are Asthma and Allergies. When Dr. Zoe is not busy treating patients, she enjoys spending time with her family, participating in Greek-American community functions, and church functions. She is a proud mother of twin boys.

Saira

Saira Syed, DO

Saira Syed, DO, was born in Pakistan and moved to the suburbs of Chicago at the age of 12 years. She attended medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in Downers Grove, IL and then completed her residency at the University of Illinois Medical Center. During her residency, Dr. Saira received the Inter of the Year award at UIC. Her interest in pediatrics is Neurology. When Dr. Saira is not busy treating patients she loves to travel, likes to go flying with her brother who is a private pilot, and enjoys baking and paining in her free time.

Dr joseph

Kevin Joseph, MD

Dr. Joseph was born in Chicago and raised in Milwaukee. He attended medical school at the Chicago Medical School and then completed his residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He joined Dr. George’s practice after completing his residency in 2016. He is particularly interested in Adolescent Medicine. When Dr. Joseph is not busy treating patients he enjoys watching sports, going to concerts, and trying new restaurants. He is a proud uncle to a 4 year old niece.

Dr humaa

Humaa Bhatti, DO

Dr. Humaa was born in Chicago and raised in suburban Detroit, Michigan. She attended the University of Michigan for college and completed medical school at Midwestern University – Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM). She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University – Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and worked as a general pediatrician in suburban Cleveland. She completed her fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at Children’s Hospital of Michigan. Subsequently she has returned to the practice of general pediatrics with a special interest in all allergic disease, including seasonal allergies, food allergies, asthma, eczema/skin allergies, and immune system disorders. Outside of the office, Dr. Humaa enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, traveling, watching her favorite TV shows and sports (she is a dedicated Michigan Wolverines fan), and going to live shows, concerts, and other social events.

Rachel

Rachel Holcomb, DO

Dr. Rachel Holcomb was born and raised in Spanish Fort, Alabama. She attended medical school at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, and then went on to complete her residency at the University of Florida at Orlando Health. Her area of interest in pediatrics is pulmonology, behavioral problems, newborn care, and adolescent care. When she is not treating patients, she spends her time cooking, travelling, and exploring new areas of Chicago since she is new to the city.

Angela

Angela Boomsma, FNP-BC

Angela was born and raised in the south suburbs of Chicago and completed her nursing degree at Trinity Christian College. She then worked on a primary pediatric floor at Advocate Children’s Hospital- Oak Lawn for 4 years and transitioned to working for the pediatric cardiology group (Advocate Children’s Hospital Heart Institute) for 2 years. Angela completed her nurse practitioner degree at Saint Xavier University, graduating in 2014. She was honored with the Graduate Nursing Student of the Year Award at graduation and later earned her certification as a lactation counselor; she joined Dr. George’s practice in 2014. Special areas of interest include: newborn care, lactation, and cardiac concerns. In her spare time, Angela loves to spend time with her family, especially her niece and nephews. She also enjoys working-out, traveling, watching movies, and attending festivals with good friends. She volunteers for Make-A-Wish Illinois and attends pediatric care educational events often. In the office she is known as the “Event Coordinator” as she loves getting everyone together and celebrating life events/milestones and going to various social functions.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth Ghera, FNP-BC

Elizabeth Ghera, APN, was born and raised in LaGrange, IL. She completed her nursing degree at St. Xavier University and went on to complete her nurse practitioner degree at Loyola University. During her time with Loyola, Elizabeth volunteered with Loyola's Child Life organization. Elizabeth worked in the PICU at Loyola Hospital for 13 years. She has a daughter whom she loves spending time with when she is not busy treating patients. She also enjoys the great outdoors, hiking, hosting events, and animals.
